IWB Concealed IWB Holsters for WALTHER PPK/S
Walther PPK Holster: Everything You Need To Know
The Walther PPK has become a legendary firearm over the years. Originally released in 1931, this remarkable pistol was developed for police use and later issued to German military officers during World War II. Its advanced design for its time led to many copies being made. Notable imitations of the Walther PPK include the CZ 50, Makarov, FEG PA-63, and the P-64. At Falco Holsters, we have crafted tens of thousands of holsters for this compact handgun and this guide primarily focuses on Walther PPK holsters. If you want to learn about the best holster designs for concealed carry, how to wear them, and how to take care of them, dive into this article with us.

What's The Best IWB Holster For The Walther PPK?
The answer to this question depends on your preferences. However, certain aspects narrow down the choices. The Walther PPK is remarkably small for the year it was developed. While carrying it in a Walther PPK pocket or ankle holster isn't entirely unrealistic, its weight makes it challenging. It is only 4.63 oz. lighter than the Glock 19. Back then, polymer frames hadn’t been invented yet, so hard, cold steel was the only available material. This means it is heavy for its size and requires either one steel, high-quality clip on the holster or two clips or belt loops to balance it better. I have owned this handgun for decades now and have experimented with almost all materials and positions it can be worn in. Here are the best Walther PPK/S holsters based on your body type.
Material Of Walther PPK S Holster
This is the first thing you should decide on. When it comes to PPK holster materials, Falco crafts them from Kydex, nylon, and leather. You can even find more modern hybrid PPK holsters if you want the best of both worlds. Each material has its advantages and disadvantages. However, most people immediately reach for a Walther PPK leather holster because it is a timeless combination, and older handguns just go well with traditional holster styles. I went through all the materials myself and recommend leather PPK holsters without hesitation. It is a clear winner in both the comfort & concealment aspects.
Canted Walther PPKS Holster
Let’s say you are huskier, and appendix carry isn’t an option. In this case, you would need to opt for the classic 3-5 o’clock position. This is where two attachment points come into play. To ensure your PPK/S holster is well-balanced and always ready for a draw with the same grip angle, you should choose these types of IWB holsters. A wonderful example of such a PPK/S holster is the Falco Holsters A107 Eagle.

During my testing of this PPK/S holster, I found the following:
- The holster is unbelievably comfortable.
- It is easy to put on and take off your belt thanks to the belt loops with snaps.
- It stays open even without a gun inside, making reholstering easier.
- It conceals best in the 4 o’clock position.
Walther PPK Appendix Holster
If you prefer this position or like having your PPK in the front portion of your body at all times and readily available, you can opt for holsters with a single clip. Why? Because PPK/S holsters with a single clip usually feature the most minimalistic designs. You wouldn’t want a bulge or print through your shirt, immediately revealing that you are carrying a handgun. Single-clip Walther PPK IWB holsters are usually quite good at this job, keeping your shirt smooth. The only concern might be the elongated grip on your PPK/S, which might print. So how do you resolve this? I was lucky enough to test the new enhanced timeless holster, the A634 Langdon, which features a claw. A claw is a device that pushes from the inside of your belt and rotates the holster for better concealment. The result is perfect concealment, with the grip of the PPK leaning snugly towards your body.

During my testing of this Walther PPK IWB holster, I found the following:
- The holster presents the highest-end craftsmanship I have seen so far.
- The holster is very firm and does not collapse even when your belt is tight.
- Thanks to the claw, it practically disappeared in the 2 o’clock position.
- The RDS cut saves the weight of the holster.
If your decision isn’t driven by body type and you can carry the PPK in both of these positions, your decision should be driven by these aspects:
- Comfort over concealment – Opt for a canted Walther PPK IWB holster.
- Concealment over comfort – Opt for a Walther PPK appendix holster.
How To Wear PPK Holster?
Walther PPK/S concealed carry and its wearing largely depend on the holster you choose. However, here is a guide that is applicable regardless of which Walther PPK 380 holster you use.

- Clear your handgun. Ensure there are no rounds in the magazine or chamber.
- Verify that the holster is clear of any unwanted items or dirt.
- Put the PPK into the holster.
- Test the fit and retention by performing the upside-down test. Ensure the trigger is covered by the holster to prevent accidental discharges.
- If everything works as it should and you are satisfied, you are ready to put the holster on your belt.
- Thread your belt through the loops, or alternatively, clip the holster over the belt. Make sure your holster is positioned in your desired area.
- Cover the holster with your shirt and ensure it does not print. This is best done in front of a mirror.
- If you are happy with the result, test your draws and reholstering.
- Train with the holster as often as possible so you are accustomed to its performance during defensive situations.
This process should be repeated every time you decide to carry a Walther PPK concealed in an IWB holster.
How To Take Care Of Your Walther PPK/S Holster?
Each Walther PPK concealed carry holster material requires different maintenance routines.
PPK Kydex Holster Maintenance
When it comes to a PPK Kydex holster, you won’t have much maintenance to do. Kydex PPK holsters are made of a special polymer that deforms only under extreme temperatures and shows no signs of degradation even after decades of use. The only maintenance required is as follows:
- Keep the holster clean of dirt and debris.
- Ensure you have a good amount of retention; if not, tighten the retention screws.
- Make sure all screws are tightened.

Maintenance of Nylon Holster for Walther PPK
Another material that does not require much maintenance is nylon. Nylon PPK holsters do not deform at all, and the maintenance routine should include only the following:
- Keep the holster clean of dirt and debris.
- Before use, inspect for any loose or hanging threads.

Walther PPK/S Leather Holster Maintenance
Finally, there are leather holsters. Although very comfortable, silent, and good for concealed carry, maintenance is their main drawback. Right after you receive your leather holster, it might need a break-in process. After your holster is broken in, you need to inspect the state of the leather regularly. The leather should always be smooth and at least a little oily. Once the factory moisture soaks in, you need to take action and condition it. This is a fairly easy process, but it must be done regularly. You can use any kind of vegetable oil to treat the outside walls of the leather. If you neglect this maintenance, the leather might dry out completely and crack over a few years, destroying the whole holster.

Absolutely the BEST!!! I have used Falco Holsters for many years. The Rollins is my favorite I.W.B. holster. I have over a dozen of them for my different carry pistols.
The fit and finish of the holster is wonderful. I highly recommend this design for any size pistol, both large (Beretta 92A1) and small (Walther PPK/S).
I get great customer service from Falco. Yes, I have to wait a little bit of time to get a holster from them because everything is custom built but, the wait is more than worth it. Miriam, in Customer Service, is awesome and will handle any questions or problems that you have. She is the Best!!!
Take Care and Best Wishes to Everyone at Falco.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have additional questions? The answers down below might help you. In case you have anything else, you can contact our customer support anytime.

Does a Walther PPK holster fit an FEG PMK 380?
FEG PMK 380 has a longer barrel in comparison with Walther PPK. Although leather and nylon holsters might fit, we recommend ordering a custom holster crafted specifically for this handgun.
Will a Walther PPK holster fit my FEG PA63?
Walther PPK has a shorter barrel in comparison with FEG PA63. This means a front portion of your PA63 would be exposed. However, the overall fit and retention of the holster should be good when it comes to leather or nylon holsters. Kydex & Hybrid holsters would fit as trigger guard areas of these handguns are slightly different. We highly recommend getting a custom holster specifically made for FEG PA63 as it prevents any safety & fit risks.
