CUSTOM NYLON SHOULDER HOLSTER FOR PISTOLS AND REVOLVERS

Let's start talking about the nylon shoulder holsters. Some people may imagine the 1920s-30s gangsters. They carry the shiny black full grain Italian leather shoulder rig matched to their belts and custom leather shoes. Looking so classy in the custom shoulder harness, everybody thought the shoulder carry originated in this era. The fact is, it only became more popular and visible then.

The new underarm carry position allowed better concealment of the firearm. Also, it gave the shooter a strategic advantage. Cowboys were the first ones to prove shoulder holster for revolvers is good for concealed carry.

THE BEST NYLON SHOULDER HOLSTER GUN POSITION

There are two main types of revolver or pistol shoulder nylon holsters - horizontal and vertical. Most firearm instructors hate the nylon horizontal shoulder rigs. There is one simple reason. Your handgun is flagging anyone behind you when holstered. We believe this should not be an issue with a well-trained experienced shooter. The horizontal nylon shoulder holsters have their place in the world. They offer a more efficient underarm gun draw. It is important to ensure your firearm is well secured. We want to minimize the chance of accidental discharge. If you are new to gun carry and you have doubts, it is always best to go for the nylon vertical shoulder holster. Even better. You do not need to compromise. Our ROTO shoulder holster is the perfect solution for you. The #1 selling nylon item across all of our online stores. It gives you the benefit of the vertical carry method on one hand and the smooth and efficient horizontal draw on the other hand. Our customers simply love the design. PREMIUM NYLON HOLSTERS COMBINED WITH LEATHER

Nylon first appeared in 1930 in a DuPont laboratory, United States. It was originally the trade name for only polyamide 6.6. but has later expanded on the whole group of polymers. Basically, it is a synthetic fibre based on polyamides – macromolecules that repeat endlessly. It is made of coal, water, and air. An important feature of nylon is a thermoplastic – able to melt fibres.

This allows for seemingly endless possibilities of shapes and sizes. The material is used in many areas. Due to constant development, nylon has been greatly improved recently. Adding other fibres to the blend, such as cotton, polyester, and spandex the Cordura was formed. Cordura is a high-quality material with increased shape holding ability.  Nowadays we can see three types of nylon holsters that differ not only in width and firmness of the foam but also in quality and type of its topcoat:

1. Basic nylon

Mainly holsters made from the most basic nylon type. Usually very simple design. These holsters are still functional and effective, but not at all ideal for EDC. The greatest advantage is the low price.

2. Classic nylon

These holsters are commonly made from Cordura 1000, which is basically a topcoat. They have resistant and thick foam in the middle, enclosed by soft breathable nylon. Most often they consist of sandwich material. D709 Ramsey represents Classic nylon holsters in the shoulder holster category.

3. Premium nylon

Today there can also be found holsters from so-called combined nylon, also referred to as premium nylon. It is basically a combination of nylon, leather, and plastic. By combining these materials, the cases can retain their shape, which in practice means that they allow easier and faster re-holstering. Also, they offer an integrated plastic guide rail to protect the sights. Falco Holsters provides the most sophisticated Premium Nylon. These holsters have combined the qualities of leather and nylon into one.
