The Best Hellcat Pro Holsters
I’ve been carrying a firearm every day for about 10 years now, and in that time, I’ve carried and tested dozens of different pistols. Eventually, I landed on the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro as the perfect blend of size, capacity, reliability, and shootability. It’s my perfect carry gun, currently. After finding the perfect pistol, it’s time to find the perfect holster. Today, we’ll discuss the best Hellcat Pro holsters from Falco.
About The Hellcat Pro
The Hellcat Pro is a 1.5-stack, slimline pistol meant for concealed carry. Mags hold 15 rounds, and the pistol is optics-ready from the factory. It has an accessory rail, aggressive texturing, and everything else you would want from a carry gun.
Recommended Springfield Hellcat Pro Holster
After the years-long cooperation with Falco Holsters, they continuously supplied me with new & new Hellcat Pro holsters. I tried all the positions around the belt, even carry methods on their own. Now with the basement full of various holsters and experience of carrying of Hellcat Pro, I find these the best of the best, créme de la créme of Hellcat carry. Let's check them together.
A909 - AIWB Holster
I’m going to start with the A909. My primary method of carry is inside-the-waistband, and my preferred position is appendix carry. This holster is right up my alley. It’s a dedicated appendix holster that also features a spot for a spare magazine. Not everyone wants to carry a spare, and I honestly don’t blame them. It’s one more thing to keep track of, and it’s also added bulk. With the A909, though, the spare aids in concealment. Combined with the holster, it creates a natural pivot point, which causes the holster to wrap around my body. Even under a t-shirt, it’s invisible.
The hybrid design means you stay comfortable while gaining almost all the benefits of a Kydex holster. Having the clips spread so far apart is great for carrying a larger gun, too, since it distributes the weight across a larger surface. The Hellcat Pro isn’t a big gun, but it isn’t small either, which is exactly why I love it.
D901 - Hybrid Shoulder Holster
The D901 is a hybrid shoulder holster with a two-magazine counterbalance. I really like the way Falco branched out from the leather that they’re known for, without abandoning it altogether. The harness is still high-quality leather, but the holster is Kydex. This means you also get some of that wonderful passive retention, keeping your pistol in place. I also really like that it uses Falco’s Roto system. This means that the gun is carried in a vertical position throughout the day. If the pistol is needed, the pistol and holster rotate into a more natural draw position.
This is an excellent option for anyone who wears a suit every day. Obviously, these are available for larger handguns, but with a slimmer handgun like the Hellcat Pro, I think it really excels.
A634 L Washington - Leather IWB Holster
This holster is pretty new, but it has quickly become my favorite IWB, light-bearing holster from Falco. It’s part of the new Enhanced Timeless series, which means you can also opt to leave the light-bearing feature behind. The A634 attaches to your belt using a single steel clip. This means it can be worn basically anywhere on your belt. I appreciate the versatility. I can wear this as an appendix holster, but if my day calls for something different, I can move it to the three or four o’clock position.
This is a great option for someone working in security or any “covert” style job. It’s discreet but houses a nearly full-sized handgun and a full-power weapon light. This is the TLR-1 HL, which puts out 1,000 lumens.
The reinforced mouth makes for easier and safer reloads. In a defensive situation, I want to remove as many obstacles from my success as possible.
G113 - Concealed Carry Leg Bag
The G-series of bags is an excellent choice for those who want the comfort and convenience of off-body carry without actually carrying off the body. My favorite is the G113. Dealing with children, a pet, or whatever you’ve got means that you sometimes don’t have two free hands. This is also a great option for being in a place where the potential risks involved with my IWB rig being exposed are too high. I had a colleague who had a shoulder injury and had to find alternative ways to carry, and this was perfect for him.
The additional pockets also make it a little less obvious that the bag is for a gun. I can grab my wallet, sunglasses, keys, or whatever else without causing alarm. If I reach into that main compartment, though, things are about to get loud.
One of the most important things when carrying in a bag is that the bag has a dedicated firearm compartment. I don’t want my cigars and manly things interfering with my draw.
C105 - Leather OWB Holster
The C105 is a leather OWB holster for those who carry on the outside. It’s incredibly slim and sits very close to your body. That keeps your pistol from flopping around and becoming exposed. Obviously, if you’re concealing this holster, a cover garment will be needed. In the city, that’s much more important. This could be a great camping holster, though. People are more accustomed to seeing firearms in the outdoors, so if it peeks out from your shirt, there’s less potential for law enforcement contact.
This is one of my personal favorites. Yes, it’s a nicely crafted, quality holster, but nothing can beat a holster with your face on it! One of the cool bonuses that you get when going with a Falco holster is the dizzying number of custom options. Make sure you take advantage!
If you carry a Hellcat Pro, I hope this has helped you choose a holster that will fit your needs. Everyone needs different things, and it’s important that you form your own conclusions about which type of holster you need. I appreciate your time and your willingness to put up with me. I hope you have a great day, and we’ll see you next time.
